Protection of the works and prohibition of artificial-intelligence use

English version - v1.0 | Updated 24 August 2026

The illustrations available on Illustar are original works created by Mirko Grisendi and are not generated using artificial-intelligence systems. Publication on the website does not place them in the public domain or authorise uses beyond those permitted by the purchased licence.

Ownership

Copyright and all rights not expressly granted remain with Mirko Grisendi. A purchase grants a limited licence to use the work; it does not transfer ownership, authorship, the right to resell the file or exclusivity.

Previews and catalogue

Previews, thumbnails, watermarked images, descriptions, metadata and the organisation of the catalogue are also protected. They may not be downloaded in bulk, republished, reconstructed or used to create a competing service.

AI-related prohibited uses

  • Training, fine-tuning, testing, evaluating or validating artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
  • Creating datasets, benchmarks, embeddings, style models, pattern-recognition systems or collections for synthetic generation.
  • Using the images as visual prompts, reference images or inputs to imitate the style or produce automated variations.
  • Scraping, crawling, harvesting or otherwise downloading images, metadata or website pages by automated means.
  • Removing watermarks, metadata, rights information or technical protection measures.
  • Using the content for NFTs, tokens, blockchain or similar systems.

Reservation of rights for text and data mining

Illustar expressly reserves the rights of reproduction and extraction for text and data mining to the extent permitted by Article 4 of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and applicable national implementing law. This statement also constitutes a contractual reservation of rights and may be supplemented, where appropriate, by machine-readable signals and metadata.

Legal exceptions

Nothing in this Policy limits exceptions or non-waivable rights provided by applicable law. Any use that requires a licence or authorisation remains prohibited without prior written consent.

Reports and permission requests
